History
From 1985 - today
1985
Founded in 1985, Aylsham & District Care Trust is a registered Charity providing a range of services to our local and surrounding community.
The vision of our board of Trustees was to successfully develop an integrated health and social care complex close to the old hospital site in Aylsham. This innovative development was the first of its kind in the UK.
Early 2000s
Our founder Trustee, Rees Coghlan, generously donated valuable land to Aylsham and District Care Trust. Our charitable services help with the impact of social isolation which was a primary driver for the development of ACT. Connection remains at the heart of our mission and our services are open to anyone. Our offering is especially helpful to the older population and we encourage empowerment and independence for all.
Today
Almost 40 years on our mission continues so we can support people, whatever their circumstances to live well by providing high quality services that improve the health and wellbeing of our community and to help combat loneliness and isolation through the dedication, care and skills of our staff team and volunteers.
